On May 21st, 2014 I presented on the topic of competitive SEO at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. The slides from my presentation can be found below.
The presentation was a high-level, executive briefing that started out presenting “the big picture” in Asia, which is that given the population growth and particularly projected growth of the middle class from several hundred million today to over 3 billion individuals by 2030, plus the increased Internet usage and especially mobile Internet usage, there is a substantial opportunity for companies who can master online marketing in this region. This will only be accelerated by the advent of inexpensive smartphones.
In the presentation I covered basics about how search engines work, why showing up in search engine matters, and how Hong Kong companies can use SEO to increase their visibility in search engines and generate sales and leads.
