China Trending Upward For Fortune 500 Companies

Domo and CEO.com have released an infographic (shown below) showing trends for the Global Fortune 500, and there’s good news for Asia, especially regarding China and Taiwan. Some highlights include:

• On the list of countries with the most Fortune 500 companies, China moved from #6 to #2 behind only the United States.
• China and Taiwan’s representation on the Global Fortune 500 list have each increased 6x over the past 10 years.
• 4 of the 25 most profitable companies in the world are located in China.

All of this reinforces the evidence that Asia (excluding only Japan, perhaps) is growing rapidly, and there are great opportunities for companies to invest in the region.
