Connect Magazine Receives New Website Design, Content Management System
Salt Lake City, Utah – MWI, a leading technology consulting firm, today announced the launch of Connect Magazine’s new Web site, which is located at www.connect-utah.com. The online version of Connect Magazine was built and launched using MWI’s proprietary Content Management System (CMS).
“We are certain this new Website will be a great service to Connect Magazine readers,” said Arkin Hill, publisher of Connect Magazine and president of Lumin Publishing.” The site not only gives Connect Magazine the ability to provide our readers with an online version of the magazine, but also a resource for current news and information about the business community in the region. Our readers appreciate the fact that our news and information can also be distributed to them directly via a daily and/or weekly e-mail newsletter which MWI has incorporated into the system.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the Website MWI has built for Connect Magazine using their CMS. Anyone who can use Microsoft Word now has the ability to add perfectly formatted content to Web sites using MWI’s CMS product. Our editors and staff members can now create, edit, approve and publish magazine articles or other information to our Website-all without requiring any knowledge of Web programming.”
Creating an online version of a print magazine offers a distinctive challenge because magazines usually have a massive amount of content compared to most Web sites. MWI’s CMS flexible customized workflow allows articles to be written, edited, approved and published in a smooth and efficient manner.
“Editors at Connect Magazine have the need to update their content on a daily basis,” said Joshua Steimle, CEO of MWI. “We used the CMS to quickly build the Web site that intuitively allows individual editors or production teams to effectively control their respective parts of the Web site.”
