Search Engine Optimization, Link Building
Link building involves getting other high-quality websites to link to your website, with an emphasis on "high-quality." There is a common misconception that any link pointing to your website will improve its rankings, but not only is this not always the case, some links can do more damage than good. Rather than getting a certain number of links for our clients we focus on getting high-quality links that will make a truly positive difference.
High-quality links are a function of the quality of the website from which the link comes, the type of link (many types of links do not provide any SEO benefits), and the actual text of the link. For example, a link to a law firm website that says "click here" would not be nearly as valuable as a link wherein the link text says "law firm." Both links will show up as incoming links in Google, but one will have a more positive effect than the other.
